Dr. Schere has been providing clinical and consultation services throughout San Diego for the past ten years. He divides his time between private practice, teaching, and clinical consulting for organizations that provide mental health services. The emphasis of his work is with children and adolescents with behavioral or emotional difficulties.
Dr. Schere spends much of his time as Clinical Supervisor for The Salvation Army's "Door of Hope" campus and for San Diego Youth and Community Services "The Bridge" & Foster Care programs. In this capacity Dr. Schere provides clinical oversight, supervision to program therapists, staff trainings, crisis intervention, group therapy, and specialized therapeutic services, including PCIT & Motivational Interviewing, to the clients and their families. Dr. Schere is also a faculty lecturer at San Diego State University's School of Social Work, where he teaches Lifespan Development and at Alliant International University where he teaches Introduction to Psychotherapy to first year doctoral students, and seminar in Supervision & Consultation to advanced doctoral students.
